Join Our Colouring Contest!
Get ready for a splash of colour and creativity with the Northern Reading Program’s Colouring Contest.
How to Participate
Pick up a colouring page at your participating school library or participating public library.
Colour your page using your favourite colours.
Return your completed page to library staff to enter the contest.
Timeline & Prizes
Libraries may run the contest anytime between January 12th and February 13th, 2026.
Each library will hold a random draw from all colouring pages submitted.
Four entries will be selected in the draw and forwarded to Wandering Willie at the Northern Reading Program headquarters.
Selected entries will be featured in the 2026 NRP Colouring Contest Flip Book on the program website.
Winners will receive a book along with a few extra prize treats
Information for Library Staff
Running the Contest
Run the contest any time between January 12 and February 13, 2026.
Print the 2026 colouring pages and place them at your circulation desk, NRP bulletin board, or NRP activities area.
Collect entries as they come in.
Selecting Winners
Libraries may choose one of two methods:
– Draw four entries at random from all submissions, or
– Draw one winner from each division (Adventurers, Pathfinders, Explorers, Voyageurs).Email your four winning entries to the Northern Reading Program by February 13, 2026
Submitting Winning Entries

Please email:
A scan or clear photo of each winning entry
The participant’s first name, age/grade (optional), and community
Your library/school name and mailing/shipping address

Schools without a library or library staff can run the contest through the office or another staff contact and submit entries the same way.
Prize Distribution
The Northern Reading Program will ship contest awards to your library/school.
Once they arrive, your library/staff contact can distribute prizes to the four drawn winners.
